Roll Up! Roll Up! For the Meanwood Festival!
With almost seventy events and activities at over fifteen locations there’s something for everyone at this year’s Meanwood Festival.
You can choose from live music; poetry readings; wildlife walks; tastings; children’s drama and even spoon whittling!
This is the fourth annual Meanwood Festival running over ten days from 19th May culminating in a family Fun Day and Music Festival on Bank Holiday Monday, the 28th May. These are held on the Meanwood Cricket Club pitch next to the Myrtle Tavern with the Fun Day kicking off at 12 noon until 4pm with the Music Festival following on at 4.30pm until 7pm. This year’s Fun Day will be bigger and better with new attractions including the Lion Learners’ Petting Zoo and Ride on Fire Engine plus inflatables. The Lord Mayor will officially open the day.
Festival organiser Gordon Charlesworth said: “We have a very exciting line-up this year and I advise people to book early to avoid disappointment. Leaflets are being delivered door to door in Meanwood so local residents won’t miss out.”
