Well known Robbie Williams tribute act Dan Budd, featured on BBC One’s Let It Shine show last year, heads up a fantastic fundraising night on Saturday 17th March at the Holiday Inn, Brighouse.
As well as being entertained by “Robbie” the evening includes a three course dinner in the newly re-opened Cow on the Hill restaurant at the hotel and dancing until late. Whether you are a Robbie fan or not, you will be truly entertained for a great cause: Candlelighters support families practically, emotionally and financially from across Yorkshire who are facing childhood cancer.
The charity are refurbishing a Cottage, just a stone’s throw from Leeds Children’s Hospital that will provide family rooms to ensure that children with cancer can have both their mum and dad with them and their siblings too. The Cottage will provide a family with their own private bedroom that is a quiet and calm place to get a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed. A well-rested parent is an asset to a child’s care as it puts them in a much better position to support their child, comfort and entertain them during the day.
All monies raised from the evening will go towards the Candlelighters Cottage Campaign, with every pound having double the impact as it will be matched by the Kentown Wizard Foundation.
Head of Income Development at the charity, Marie Peacock, told us “The money raised from this event will enable us to support families at what is often a distressing and difficult time. We want to ensure families can be together when they most need each other. Dan Budd is an amazing performer and will truly entertain all, even Gary Barlow was impressed when he auditioned for him last year! Definitely a night not to be missed.”
