The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr Jane Dowson, is looking for a young, budding artist to design and create her official Christmas card 2017. The design must be in line with the theme ‘Leeds at Christmas’ and entrants must be children up to the age of 13.
The winning design will be used by the Lord Mayor as her official Christmas card and will be sent out across the City. The winner will be presented with a copy of the card with their design on it as well as a special prize from the Lord Mayor.
The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Jane Dowson said:
“I am really delighted that my official Christmas card will be designed by a young person in Leeds this year and I can’t wait to see all the different ideas and designs.
We’ve deliberately kept the theme really broad so that entrants can be as creative and imaginative as they like.”
Designs should be completed on A4 paper and have the child’s name and age (written in pencil) on the reverse of the paper, along with a contact number of a parent or guardian. Crayons, felt tip, paint and pens can all be used however it is advised not to stick items on to the design as it will not replicate when scanned.
